Hawks Group opens new Istanbul trading office, welcomes bunker traders

Hawks Group on Monday (15 September) announced the launch of its new trading office in Istanbul, Türkiye with Cemil Ünsal and Göksu Mete joining its team as Bunker Traders.
Prior to joining Hawks, Mete worked as a bunker trader for Asmira and Med Petroleum. Ünsal has experience as a bunker buyer for shipowner GN Group and has worked with Istanbul-based physical supplier CYE Petrol and most recently operated as a bunker trader.
“We are delighted to welcome both Cemil and Göksu to our team” said Hassan Rifau, Hawks Group CEO. “Their breadth of experience across all aspects of the bunker market will be an asset to Hawks’ global expansion”.
Hawks Group, headquartered in Maldives, is a physical supplier in the Maldives, Sri Lanka and at high seas in the Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea.
Hawks office network includes Maldives, Dubai, Singapore, Monaco, Shanghai, Kuala Lumpur, Colombo and Istanbul.
Last week, Hawks announced the addition of three traders to its team, bringing the commercial team based in its Dubai office to a total of six people and the overall trading team to 20 traders.
