Nordic energy company Gasum on Friday (20 March) said it has filed a notification with the Finnish Patent and Registration Office to change the legal form of the company from a private limited liability company (Oy/Ltd) to a public limited liability company (Oyj/Plc).
“The change will enable Gasum to diversify the company’s financing base in the future,” the company said in a statement on its website.
Gasum offers liquefied natural gas (LNG) and liquefied biogas (bio-LNG or LBG) deliveries and bunkering services across Northern Europe.
Manifold Times recently reported it will continue its strategic pooling partnerships with shipping companies Viking Line and Wallenius SOL in 2026.
By operating their vessels on bio-LNG, Viking Line and Wallenius SOL are generating compliance units for Gasum’s FuelEU Maritime pool.
Additionally, Gasum continues to run its own gas bunkering and transport fleet on bio-LNG for added compliance units for the FuelEU pooling market.
