E-fuel producer Liquid Wind seeks buyer after declaring bankruptcy

Liquid Wind AB, the parent company of the Liquid Wind Group, was declared bankrupt on 11 May, according to a company announcement on Wednesday (13 May).

Liquid Wind AB is a developer of eFuel facilities, enabling the production of eMethanol and thereby supporting the transition to fossil-free energy solutions in hard-to-abate sectors such as shipping, aviation, land transport and the chemical industry.

Lawyer Lars Melin of the law firm Styrks was appointed as bankruptcy trustee.

“Affected employees have held meetings with the bankruptcy trustee and his colleagues at the law firm handling the bankruptcy proceedings. The business – including the subsidiaries in Sweden, Denmark and Finland – is now up for sale,” it said.

“In this context, the company would like to extend its gratitude to employees, partners, customers and other stakeholders who have contributed to the company’s work over the years.”

The bankruptcy administration is led by lawyer Lars Melin together with his colleagues, lawyers Jonas Hallberg, Erik Wendel and Åsa Nyqvist, as well as associate lawyers Jenny Söderberg and Ellen van ’t Hoff.
