Global bunker fuel supplier Dan-Bunkering on Monday (18 July) introduced its free CO2 calculator tool for shipowners who wants to calculate the CO2 emissions from bunker fuels.
“Our CO2 calculator gives you a guidance and an estimation of CO2 emissions for heavy fuel oil (HFO), marine diesel oil (MDO), and liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuels. Just enter the volume values for CBM, MTS, and DENSITY and get the result immediately,” it said in a social media post.
The calculator is based on the Emission Values on the estimated carbon conversion factors included in the European Union´s Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/1927 of 4 November 2016.
