Baltic Exchange: Bunker Report (10 May 2024)

The following bunker report has been provided by freight market information provider Baltic Exchange for post on Singapore bunkering publication Manifold Times:

Commentary:

Despite inching lower following an unexpected rise in US inventories(API) in the previous session, oil prices rebounded during intraday trading following EIA’s official stats report, which highlighted that US crude oil inventories declined (-1.4mbbls) last week, overshadowing refined products combined increase of 1.5mbbls. As a result, physical bunker prices rallied by $10pmt in the USGC (VLSFO 0.5%), which saw a large jump in price differentials among suppliers.
