Avenir launches third LNG bunkering and supply vessel ‘Avenir Aspiration’

Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore & Engineering on Wednesday (6 January) announced the launch of Avenir Aspiration, a dual-purpose, 7,500-cbm liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering and supply vessel on 26 December, 2020.

Avenir Advantage, Avenir’s first LNG bunker vessel was delivered in October 2020 and it performed its first LNG bunkering operation in Johor, Malaysia.

The maiden operation involved bunkering 1,150 metric tonnes of LNG from bunkering vessel MV Avenir Advantage, to the Volkswagen operated LNG powered car carrier Siem Aristotle.

Avenir said it expects Avenir Aspiration to be delivered by the end of 2021.
