Omani physical marine fuel supplier O Bunkering on Thursday (5 November) said it signed a direct supply agreement with OQ Refineries and Petroleum Industries (OQ RPI), securing an annual volume of 48 million litres (48,000 CBM) of Marine Gas Oil (MGO) to support its bunkering operations across Omani ports.
Through this direct sourcing arrangement, O Bunkering aims to improve supply reliability, enhance operational efficiency, and strengthen its competitive position in the regional marine fuel market.
“The agreement also reinforces cooperation between O Bunkering and OQ, supporting the development of Oman’s maritime energy infrastructure and contributing to the Sultanate’s ambitions under Oman Vision 2040,” the company said in a statement.
O Bunkering currently provides physical marine fuel supply services across key Omani ports, including Sohar, Duqm, Salalah, and Muscat.
“This strategic development reflects the company’s continued commitment to expanding its capabilities and positioning Oman as a competitive regional marine bunkering hub,” the company added.
