Mitsui OSK Lines (MOL) on Sunday (16 August) said the company successfully held the naming ceremony of LNG dual-fuel VLCC TSURUGIDAKE for energy company Equinor ASA.
The ceremony was held at Dalian COSCO KHI Ship Engineering Co Ltd. TSURUGIDAKE is the fourth LNG dual-fuel VLCC delivered by the MOL Group.
“For Equinor, the vessel represents the third LNG dual-fuel VLCC delivered by the MOL Group under a time charter contract, following two vessels previously delivered to the company,” MOL said in a social media post.
TSURUGIDAKE is equipped with an LNG fuel tank with a capacity exceeding 10,000 m³, enabling long-distance voyages and greater operational flexibility.
