O Bunkering and Marafi Services, two marine fuel suppliers in Oman, have officially completed their merger to form a single integrated entity operating under the name O Bunkering, according to a statement on Monday (4 May).
O Bunkering said the strategic consolidation brings together two major players in the Omani bunkering sector, combining capabilities, infrastructure, and operational expertise to create a stronger and more scalable organization.
“The merger is aimed at enhancing service reliability, expanding operational reach, and improving efficiency across marine fuel supply chains, supporting vessels calling at key ports across the Sultanate of Oman,” it said.
With increased capacity and a more unified operating model, O Bunkering is positioned to strengthen its role in the regional marine fuel market and support the growing demand for high-quality bunkering services in the Middle East.
Commenting on the merger, H.E. Eng. Said Al Maawali, Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, stated: “This merger between O Bunkering and Marafi represents a qualitative leap in the institutional maturity of Omani companies operating in the logistics sector.
“It consolidates assets, resources, capabilities, and expertise of both companies, enabling their transformation into a larger commercial entity with higher levels of operational efficiency, service quality, and production capacity. This, in turn, enhances their competitiveness at both the local and regional levels.”
