COSCO Shipping Heavy Industry completes integrated service of LNG ship repair and bunkering

Cosco Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) successfully completed its first integrated service for LNG dual-fuel ship repair and terminal bunkering on 7 January, according to the China Association of the National Shipbuilding Industry on Wednesday (14 January).

Recently, the LNG dual-fuel container ship CMA CGM TENERE successfully completed all repairs and a bunkering operation at COSCO SHIPPING Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) and departed smoothly.

A key highlight of the project was the successful coordination of the bunkering operation of the vessel at the terminal after the repair, establishing a one-stop service system encompassing “drying-inerting (purging)-tank cooling-down-bunkering.”

On 8 January, the vessel successfully completed sea trials after switching its main engine to LNG fuel.

Cosco Shipping Heavy Industry (Zhoushan) said the implementation of this service further improves the service chain for the maintenance of alternative-fuelled vessels, providing the industry with an integrated solution.
