Panama bunker fuel sales down by 8.5% on year in November 2025

Bunker fuel sales at Panama dropped by 8.5% in November 2025, according to the latest data from La Autoridad Maritima de Panama, also known as the Panama Maritime Authority (PMA).

Total bunker sales at Panama was 428,523 metric tonnes (mt) in November 2025, compared to sales of 468,095 mt during the similar period in 2024.

In November 2025, the Pacific side of Panama posted bunker sales of 339,464 mt; 219,636 mt of VLSFO, 83,808 mt of RMG 380, none for marine gas oil (MGO), and 36,020 mt of low sulphur marine gas oil (LSMGO) were delivered.

The similar region saw total marine sales of 374,840 mt a year before in November; with VLSFO sales at 223,256 mt, RMG 380 sales at 121,029 mt, MGO sales at 3,431 mt, and 27,124 mt of LSMGO being sold.

Panama’s Atlantic side, meanwhile, recorded total bunker fuel sales of 89,059 during November 2025; the figure comprised 64,862 mt of VLSFO, 9,195 mt of RMG 380, 2,847 mt of MGO, and 9,934 mt of LSMGO.

It saw total sales of 93,255 mt in November a year before; with VLSFO sales of 68,249 mt, RMG 380 sales of 9,651 mt, 4,049 mt of MGO, and LSMGO sales of 11,306 mt.
