Viroque Energy taps into Ecuador bunker market, expanding coverage across Americas

Ecuador joins Viroque Energy’s international bunkering reach as a new operational market, the company said on Thursday (27 November).
The move reinforces the company’s presence in the Americas with physical supply of HSFO and VLSFO by barge, and MGO by truck across the ports of La Libertad, Manta, Guayaquil, and Esmeraldas.
“This presence allows us to serve key Pacific routes with greater stability, reach, and operational consistency,” Viroque Energy said in a social media post.
The company said the move into Ecuador comes following its consolidation in Spain where it operates in more than four strategic ports, such as Bilbao, Motril, Gijón and Seville, all of them across the Iberian Peninsula.
“Expanding into Ecuador widens our reach in the Americas and strengthens our role as a trusted partner in international maritime logistics,” said Borja Cerrato, Senior Bunker and Shipping Trader of Viroque Energy.
