The Vietnam Coast Guard on Tuesday (4 June) said it arrested a fishing vessel with the number BT-99889-TS about 150 nautical miles southeast of Bo De estuary in Ca Mau province.
The Coast Guard discovered the ship at 6.50 am on 2 June displaying several suspicious signs and ordered the fishing vessel to stop for administrative inspections.

An initial investigation found the ship, which had five members on board, to be transporting about 200,000 litres of diesel oil with no documents proving its legal origin.
As such, the authorities made a record of the administrative violations and escorted the vessel to Port Squadron 421 in Nam Can district in Ca Mau province for further investigations and handling in accordance with the law.
