4.24 million mt of various marine fuel grades were delivered at the world’s largest bunkering port in April, down from 4.26 million mt recorded during April 2023, according to MPA data.

Singapore: Bunker fuel sales down by 0.6% on year in April 2024

Sales of bunker fuel at Singapore port dropped by 0.6% on year during April 2024, according to Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) data.

In total, 4.24 million metric tonnes (mt) (exact 4,235,158 mt) of various marine fuel grades were delivered at the world’s largest bunkering port in April, down from 4.26 million mt (4,258,750 mt) recorded during April 2023.

Deliveries of marine fuel oil, low sulphur fuel oil, ultra low sulphur fuel oil, marine gas oil and marine diesel oil in April (against on year) recorded respectively 1.60 million mt (+31.1% from 1.22 million mt), 2.25 million mt (-15.7% from 2.67 million mt), zero (from zero), 9,700 mt (-36.6% from 15,300 mt) and zero (from zero).

Bio-blended variants of marine fuel oil, low sulphur fuel oil, ultra low sulphur fuel oil, marine gas oil and marine diesel oil in April (against on year) recorded respectively zero (+100% from 1,300), 59,600 mt (+61.1% from 37,000 mt), zero (from zero), zero (from zero) and zero (from zero).

LNG and methanol sales were posted respectively at 35,600 mt (+585% from 5,200) and zero (from zero).
