O Bunkering to provide bunker fuel supply at Port of Khasab

Oman-based bunker trading firm O Bunkering on Wednesday (21 June) said it has become an official bunker supplier at Port of Khasab, which is positioned at the northern end of Oman, in the Musandam Governorate facing Strait of Hormuz.
“Our sincere gratitude goes to Hutchison Ports Sohar for entrusting us with this significant responsibility,” the firm said in a social media post.
“We eagerly look forward to working alongside Hormuz Marine in making this journey even more successful and prosperous.”
In 2021, it was reported Oman’s Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology said that it was pressing ahead with plans for the development of Port of Khasab.
The ministry reportedly said the plans build on tenders issued earlier to manage, operate and develop Khasab Port, including aspects related to supplying vessels with fuel, operating piers, connecting the port with global terminals and granting lands for investment in the logistics and light industries’ fields.
