The Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) recently removed New Maritime Pte Ltd from its list of licensed bunker craft operators in the Port of Singapore.

The list on MPA’s website was last updated on 17 June 2023. Following the removal, there is now a total of 41 licensed bunker craft operators in the republic.

Manifold Times previously reported MPA stating it will not renew the bunker craft operator licence of the firm which expired on 16 June.

“On and from 17 June 2023, New Maritime Pte Ltd will cease to be licensed and must not continue to operate as a bunker craft operator within the Singapore Port,” MPA said in a port marine circular.

MPA did not disclose any reasons for the non-renewal of the licence but said “MPA has zero-tolerance for any type of fraud, corruption or bunkering malpractice.”
