New Denmark-based bunker trading firm, Nolu Energy, on Tuesday (16 May) said it is finally able to offer bunkering services in the Suez Canal.
The firm said after many years of port disruption, it is finally able to offer bunkering in Suez with ISO 2017 specs.
“This should help shipowners save time and money, taking bunkers while waiting for transit in either Suez or Port Said,” it said.
In its market report, the firm said bunkering in Suez and Port Said used to take place on a daily basis with all supplies made without any issues by state-owned companies.
“However for the last many years, supplies in Suez/ Port Said has been reduced to very little activity. Allegedly the biggest issue has been the quality of marine fuel oil (VLSFO and HSFO),” it said in the report.
“Now Egypt has opened up for private suppliers. Hopefully this can bring back the once proud bunkering location to old strength. We now have the option to offer full ISO 8217 : 2017 specs.”
Products available: VLSFO, HSFO, LSMGO
Supply location: Suez or Port Said. Depending on transit timing
Manifold Times previously reported Kenni Goldenbeck, former Middelfart Sales Manager at Dan-Bunkering, announcing he has launched Nolu Energy.
He said Nolu Energy is honoured to partner with Alpha Trading Spa, as an exclusive agent.
