Titan LNG & Petronas has successfully delivered liquefied natural gas (LNG) marine fuel to the Brittany Ferries’ operated newbuilding Salamanca at the Pengerang Anchorage, Malaysia on 17 December, updates Titan LNG in a social media post.

The LNG bunker parcel purchased by Titan LNG was delivered to the ferry using the 7,500 m3 capacity LNG bunker vessel Avenir Advantage – Petronas’ first dedicated LBV serving customers in Southeast Asia.

China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (Sinopec) on 13 September said its subsidiary Sinopec Fuel Oil Sales Co., Ltd. conducted the first LNG bunker delivery to the newbuilding “W0269” named Salamanca at a port located in Shandong province.

French ferry operator Brittany Ferries conducted a launch ceremony for the LNG-powered Salamanca on 6 January 2021 at the CMJL shipyard in Weihai, China, where she is under construction.

Repsol will supply LNG bunker fuel to Brittany Ferries’ Salamanca and sistership Santona during their regular visits on routes linking Portsmouth, UK and northern Spain, beginning in 2022.
