Shenzhen-based Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore and Engineering Co., Ltd. (CIMC SOE), a subsidiary of CIMC ENRIC, on Thursday (19 March) received two orders for liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanks with the total order amount exceeding RMB 160 million (USD 22,549,184).
CIMC reports these two orders have further established its position in the LNG tank market, and one of the two LNG tank orders has enabled it to enter the emerging market of LNG fuel tanks for luxury cruise ships.
Affected by the COVID-19, many international customers are sceptical about the production and delivery capacity of CIMC SOE in the face of flight cancellations, temporary suspension of visa applications and the inability to hold face-to-face meetings, it notes.
In response, CIMC SOE said it went up against these difficulties and maintained active communication with customers through teleconferences.
The company stated that its team maintained professionalism to identify all the project’s obstacles and cleared up any technical difficulties in the undertaking of the project to finally dispel the concerns of customers, allowing it to obtain the two LNG tank orders in succession.
