Singapore ship brokering mobile app enhances global S&P scene
Singapore-based shipbroker Sovereign Shipping Global (SSG) has developed a mobile application that is free for commercial use.
The mobile app is able to show the historical transacted prices of ships by allowing subscribers to search and filter a variety of vessel sales data over the past four years.
“The idea is to allow shipowners, shipbrokers, financiers and all who wish to view transacted prices of ships at the convenience of a single click,” Wong Hong Lee, Managing Director of SSG, told Manifold Times.
According to Wong, small sales and purchase (S&P) shipbroking firms usually employ simplistic methods for collecting data on vessel S&P information.
Brokers in these firms typically sort through hundreds of emails on a daily basis to obtain information on available and transacted vessels from market reports, and then manually key the data into an excel worksheet for reference when meeting clients.
“The Sovereign Shipping Global mobile app conveniently solves this issue for free,” shares Wong.
“The vessel S&P information in our app's database is verified from various sources before being made available for use and is continually being updated.
“Our app users can thus confidently rely on the data to make informed decisions and eliminate their tedious data gathering process.”
A check by Manifold Times found the mobile application currently having data of tankers, product carriers, bulkers, containerships, gas carriers, MPP (multipurpose vessels), ROPAX (roll-on/roll-off passenger) and RoRo (Roll-on/roll-off) ships.
It also includes a feature to make vessel sale and purchase enquiries with SSG.
The SSG app is available in both iOS and Android versions and can be found via search keyword: Sovereign Shipping Global
