Korea Line Corporation charters LNG bunkering tanker to Shell Western LNG
Korea Line Corporation (KLC) has signed a contract on Friday (15 November) to charter a liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering tanker to Shell Western LNG BV on a long-term basis, it said in a corporate filing.
The KRW 48.2 billion (USD 41 million) contract will last for a total duration of about five years from January 31, 2022 to January 31, 2027, it notes in the short update.
KLC, which has not placed an order for the newbuilding yet, is expected to approach a shipyard for the project in due course and make another announcement once the order has been confirmed.
