China: Zhoushan June bunker sales volume increase 8% on year


The bunker sales volume at Zhoushan, China increased by 7.8% on year during June, according to Zhejiang Zhoushan Free Trade Zone data, shared with Manifold Times.

It recorded the bunkering port delivering 385,800 metric tonnes (mt) of marine fuel in June 2019, more than 358,000 mt in June 2018.

To date, a total 1,895,800 mt of marine fuel has been sold at Zhoushan port in 2019 (January to June), 11.8% more than 1,695,800 mt of bunkers during the similar period last year.

A total 3,593,000 mt of marine fuel was sold at Zhoushan port in 2018.

Manifold Times earlier reported the Zhejiang Zhoushan Free Trade Zone Committee developing its own electronic bunker delivery note (E-BDN) system for bonded marine fuel transactions that will be based on mass flowmeter (MFM) technology.
